“I'm now at that magical age where I must take a "Required Minimum Distribution" from my hard-earned IRAs. As it happened to coincide with my 50th RSC Reunion, it seemed like kismet directing me. I made a five-year pledge to The Sage Fund for Excellence for my projected RMD amount using a Qualified Charitable Distribution. It made me, and my accountant, happy that I could make this gift without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal.”
